Scott Grapin is a doctoral candidate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University. His research interests include the integration of content and language learning, multimodality, and language assessment. Currently, he is working as a graduate research assistant on two NSF-funded projects aimed at developing fifth-grade NGSS-aligned instructional materials that integrate computational thinking and modeling with a focus on English learners. Before joining NYU, Scott was a high school Spanish and English as a second language teacher.
